Any fan of John Hartford will love this show. Colin O'Brien brings Hartford's repertoire back to the stage, performing in John's inimitable style.
Colin plays the daylights out of the banjo, fiddle and guitar, and his feet stay mighty busy as well dancing rhythms on his magic hardwood "Clogginator".
O'Brien recently headlined the Down On The River Festival in Peoria, Illinois and his performance can be viewed right here. Colin has performed several concerts on the Julia Belle Swain steamboat (a boat John piloted and loved) and has brought this show to dozens of festivals throughout the mid west.

Here's a photo tour of Mr. Hartford's home in Madison, TN.
Playing my air banjo-fiddle (?) atop John Hartford's home overlooking the Cumberland river in Madison, Tennessee.
John spent many, many hours fiddling in this cupola.

Here's John's early napkin sketch of the addition (with cupola). Kinda steamboaty.
Here's a rendering of John and Earl Scruggs picking at one of John's legendary three day Christmas parties (note the date). This picture now hangs in the very spot where the picking took place. The Cumberland river flows behind the windows.

This hangs on the wall near the front door of his home.
A tune written in John's hand. I think it's time to learn this one.

John and Marie's resting place in Spring Hill cemetery, Madison, Tennessee. This picture is taken from a nice gazebo he had built, a great place to play a tune, or a whole bunch of 'em.
